LEGEND
Since its creation in 2008, TRANSPYR COAST TO COAST has established itself as one of the most epic and challenging cycling adventures in existence. The sea-to-sea journey is not just a route; it’s an experience that redefines the limits of effort and determination. It’s a challenge with a clear goal: to cross the Pyrenees from sea to sea in 7 days, reach a destination, and in the process, be transformed.
Few routes can compare to the allure of a linear journey. Each sunrise brings with it a completely new horizon, a stage to conquer, and a story to write.
To culminate this epic experience, every participant receives a unique bottle, meant to unite the waters of the two seas. A symbolic gesture marking the end of a monumental journey, a tangible reminder of having crossed a land and fused two great seas.
At Transpyr Coast to Coast, we are convinced that the true essence of the Pyrenees is discovered by riding during the day and resting at night. Stage-based routes allow you to enjoy every kilometer with full intensity, turning each day into a complete and meaningful adventure, part of a greater mission.
Unlike ultradistance races, where fatigue can overshadow the experience, our stage-based routes let you savor every section of the journey, fully immersing yourself in the landscape and emotions. The stage towns, true oases along the way, provide a space to recover, share stories, and connect with the rich Pyrenean culture. It is there that cyclists and locals exchange stories, friendships are forged, and a deep respect for the land is nurtured.
Each sunrise invites you to a new horizon, with landscapes to discover and challenges to overcome. This journey is not only a physical challenge but a transformative experience that boosts self-esteem, fosters solidarity, and ignites a lasting love for the nature and culture of the Pyrenees.
At Transpyr Coast to Coast, the stage-based routes are not just a ride; they are a journey with purpose, an adventure that leaves an indelible mark on those who dare to live it.
The Deporvillage Transpyr Coast to Coast is for you if you train regularly and achieve the right physical and mental preparation.

There are several reasons: one might break the GPS in a fall, it could stop working, or the battery might run out; the team may need to separate due to force majeure.
Additionally, we want to verify the route tracking individually, as the FINISHER distinction is awarded on a personal basis.
A participant will be considered a “Finisher” of the Deporvillage Transpyr Gran Raid MTB if they have completed the route planned by the organization within the maximum time limits set for each stage. The GPS track may serve as proof in case of any doubts.
Following a route via GPS is quite simple. However, you must ensure that the chosen device is suitable for MTB use (it can be mounted on the handlebars and easily viewed), has enough memory to record a route of over 100 km with logs every 50 meters, and has a battery life of more than 12 hours (and bring spare batteries or replacement power sources).
In the DEPORVILLAGE TRANSPYR GRAN RAID MTB, it is essential to avoid any mechanical issues. Participants can book in advance a mechanical service for tune-ups at the end of each stage.
During the stages, it is not possible for us to assist participants, and the organization will not provide any services in this regard.
The organization guarantees the availability of bike cleaning stations at the end of each stage, either with hoses or pressure washers, as well as a small self-service workshop area.
Of course!
Your friends and family can attend the different events: the start and finish, briefing, pasta party… For this purpose, we have created the Companion Pack.
This pack is designed so that they can come and cheer you on and share the DEPORVILLAGE TRANSPYR GRAN RAID MTB adventure to the fullest. The pack includes companion accreditation, a tourist dossier to help them discover the wonders of the Pyrenees, tickets for the Pasta Party, parking in reserved areas (at some stage points), and other accessories.
If your companions are only coming for one day, you have the option to buy a ticket for the pasta party.
The Companion Pack can be purchased through your private area or at the race office (RACE OFFICE).
DEPORVILLAGE TRANSPYR GRAN RAID MTB takes place in June to ensure the maximum daylight and favorable weather conditions. However, participants should consider the weather differences between the Cantabrian and Mediterranean sides and the altitude reached at certain points of the route (with a maximum of around 2000 meters), as rapid weather changes are possible in mountainous environments.
