Key points

Everything you need to know to face the adventure

1. Technical data and difficulty

The Transpyr Gravel Adventure consists of seven stages, each approximately 900 km long and covering approximately 17,500 m of elevation gain, representing a daily average of 125 km and approximately 2,500 m of elevation gain.

It is reserved for individuals with a high level of physical and mental fitness. Participants must be able to maintain an average speed of no less than 12 km/h on each stage, including all stops.

Each participant must provide a medical certificate provided by the organizers.

2. Tracking the route

The route is tracked using GPS. Support signs may only be posted at potentially dangerous points.

Participants are subject to the highway code at all times, as the route is open to traffic.

Any specific regulations for the spaces and places visited, as well as priority for pedestrians, other cyclists, and vehicles, must be observed. Participants are responsible before any authority for compliance with this rule, and failure to comply may result in cancellation of their registration.

3. Food

Throughout the route, the organizers establish solid and liquid refreshment stations. One of the refreshment stations serves a lunch of rice or pasta. At the end of the route, there is another light refreshment station.
Registration also includes a carbohydrate-based meal, known as a Pasta Party, at dusk before each stage.

It is recommended to bring some kind of energy supplement and start the stage with at least a liter of beverage.

4. Insurance and medical assistance

A medical assistance service is available throughout the Transpyr Coast to Coast route. Its mission is to assist those who have suffered an accident or injury during each stage. Once the stage is completed, participants who require medical attention must be treated by the municipality’s public or private medical services.

Mandatory sports insurance is included in the participant package. Participants are free to purchase and use additional insurance.

5. Personal luggage

The organizers will provide a bag during check-in so you can store all your belongings. We will deliver this Transpyr Bag to your accommodation each day (as long as it’s within the urban center of the stage point).

We can send the bag to your home before check-in so you can organize your trip better by booking the Suitcase Home service from the participating area.

The bag cannot weigh more than 20 kg.

6. Accommodation

Accommodation reservations are the participant’s responsibility: you can book your own accommodation at each stopover point, travel by motorhome, or book the hotel package offered by VALUA TRAVEL with various options.

Accommodation is not included in the registration fee.
