Terms and Conditions of Contract

0. Introduction

TRANSPYR COAST TO COAST is an event framed within the full crossing of the Pyrenees, which includes various cycling events or participation modalities. It is organized by ANAYET LATITUD NORTE S.L.

1. Participant qualification

TRANSPYR COAST TO COAST is open to experienced or advanced cyclists with an adequate level of physical and mental endurance. Participants must be at least 18 years old from the first day of the event. Participants are fully responsible for their health status, and must submit a medical certificate, which can be found in their participant area, duly completed.

2. General conditions

Every participant must accept the REGISTRATION POLICY and the PARTICULAR REGULATION of their registration modality and must follow the guidance and instructions given by the organization’s staff. All instructions contained in the official Transpyr Coast to Coast announcements and information elements constitute a contractual obligation for the participant. Any claims regarding the contract or services provided by the organizer, ANAYET LATITUD NORTE S.L., must be submitted exclusively at the end of the event, within a month after the contractual end of the event, and addressed only to the organizer at the address below.

3. Registration

Each participant must complete the registration online through the official website within the deadlines established by the organization. The organization reserves the right to extend the registration period. The registration for Transpyr (in any of its modalities) is personal and non-transferable, and participation may be in teams (in the case of the Gran Raid MTB) or individual – although riding with a companion is always recommended. In the case of team participation, each member must complete and submit an individual registration form indicating the team name. The registration will be effective once the participant has accepted the REGISTRATION POLICY and the PARTICULAR REGULATION and when the organization has received the registration fee payment.

Starting two months before the event, the organization establishes a 30.00€ management fee for each change in the modality. One month before the event, the organization cannot guarantee that these changes will be reflected on race numbers or other elements of the participant pack.

Being registered for Transpyr Coast to Coast entitles participants to receive the benefits defined as the Participant Pack for that year.

4. Payment conditions

The payment conditions are established through the payment gateway on this website.

5. Instalment payments

It is allowed to pay the total registration fee in three instalments as follows:

1st payment (50%) – At the time of registration

2nd payment (25%) – Deadline: 1st December 2024

3rd payment (25%) – Deadline: 31st March 2025

These payments are not automatically charged to the account. It is the participant’s responsibility to log in to their participant area and proceed with the payment according to the established schedule.

6. Cancellations

6.1. Participant cancellation – Cancellation policy

The organization allows the cancellation of the registration under the following periods, with the corresponding financial conditions:

• Until 31st December: 75% refund of the total registration fee.

• Until 31st March: 50% refund of the total registration fee.

• Until 11th May: 25% refund of the total registration fee.

• From 12th May onwards: No refund of registration fees*.

For any hypothetical refunds, the total registration fee will always be considered, not the amount paid by the participant up to the cancellation date.

No exceptions will be made for medical reasons such as injuries or illnesses. If the Postponement Service was contracted at the time of registration, the registration can be transferred to the following year, in accordance with the conditions specified later. Those who did not contract this option may opt for the Express Postponement Service to defer their registration to the next year, under the established conditions.

Therefore, WE STRONGLY RECOMMEND CONTRACTING THE POSTPONEMENT SERVICE, which allows the registration to be postponed to the following year for any reason up to two weeks before the event.

*Important: In case optional services provided by the organization were contracted and paid for, these will be considered as “registration fees” for cancellation purposes and will follow the same refund periods mentioned in the cancellation policy.

Due to the nature of the services provided, the registration and the contracting of optional services are not subject to the customer’s right to withdrawal.

Registrations through the Postponement Service:

As stated in the description of this service and the personalized letter sent to each interested party at the time of use, its execution nullifies the right to receive any refund of registration fees in case of cancellation.

6.2. Cancellation/Termination by the organizer

The organizer may cancel a participant’s registration after the event has started in cases of:

• Violation of the rules or regulations by the participant after being notified during the event.

• Failure to follow instructions from the event management or the organization’s staff.

In such cases, the participant is only entitled to a refund corresponding to the unused services at the time of termination.

6.3. Event cancellation

If the required minimum number of participants is not met, the organizer reserves the right to cancel the event. In this case, the full registration fee will be refunded. The organization may propose an alternative to the already registered participants.

If the event is cancelled due to force majeure (fire risk, extreme weather, health risk, political instability, etc.) beyond the organizer’s control, the participant will not be entitled to any refund of registration fees or compensation for other losses such as travel or accommodation expenses.

6.4. Unused services

If the participant withdraws from the event due to illness or any other reason not attributable to the organizer, or does not use the services included in the registration, they will not be entitled to any refund, regardless of when the withdrawal occurs.
