Transpyr Gravel Adventure is born! Starting with the 2026 edition, Gravel is joining the categories that will allow you to complete the COAST to COAST challenge. If you love discovering new routes that combine the best secondary roads with trails that delve into hidden corners of the Pyrenees, the Gravel category is perfect for you.
The GRAVEL category offers a multi-stage challenge that will take you to conquer the Pyrenees from sea to sea, along spectacular routes that will leave you speechless.

We offer services to make it easier for you to participate in the
Transpyr Coast to Coast.
Some are directly managed by the organization, while others, such as accommodation, transportation, physiotherapy, and mechanical assistance, are managed by external companies and contracted directly with them.
The Transpyr Gravel Adventure consists of seven stages, each covering approximately 900 km and covering approximately 17,500 m of total elevation gain, representing a daily average of 125 km and approximately 2,500 m of total elevation gain. It is reserved for people with a high level of physical and mental fitness, and participants must be able to maintain an average speed of no less than 12 km/h on each stage, including all stops.
Booking accommodation is the participant’s responsibility, but we make it easy for you.
You can book it yourself at each stage, travel by motorhome, or book the HOTEL PACK offered by VALUA TRAVEL with various options.
Accommodation is not included in the registration fee.
The organizers will give you a bag during check-in so you can store all your belongings.
This Transpyr Bag will be delivered to your accommodation each day (as long as it’s within the urban center of the stage point).
If you’d like, we can send the bag to your home before check-in so you can plan your trip!
The bag cannot weigh more than 20 kg.
Breakfast is the participant’s responsibility, although it is included in hotel packages.
Throughout the route, the organizers provide solid and liquid refreshment stations. One of the refreshment stations serves as a lunch of rice or pasta. There is another light refreshment station at the end of the route.
Registration also includes a carbohydrate-based meal at dusk before each stage.
It is recommended to bring some kind of energy supplement and start the stage with at least one liter of beverage.
If you want to return home from Irun:
Once you’ve completed the Transpyr Coast to Coast, a shuttle bus will take you back (departing the morning after your arrival in Irun).
If you’re transporting your bike in a box, we can store it securely. You can leave your vehicle in an (unguarded) parking lot in Roses.
No. Mandatory Sports Insurance is included in the participant package. However, each participant is free to purchase and use additional insurance if they wish.
A medical assistance service is available throughout the route. Its mission is to assist those who have suffered an accident or injury during each stage. Once the stage is completed, any participant who requires medical attention must be treated by the municipality’s public or private medical services.
No, accreditation and the briefing take place at dusk the day before departure.
Participation is reserved for those over 18 years of age.
A cycling license is not required.
Mandatory insurance is already included in the participant package. If necessary, you can purchase additional insurance on your own to expand your coverage.
Once you have transferred your belongings to the Transpyr Bag that we will give you upon accreditation, you can:
Transferring your bike bag to the Transpyr Coast to Coast destination is an optional service.
You can also arrange for the Transpyr Bag to be delivered to your home before the challenge.
A Transpyr Backroads finisher will be considered a participant who completes the route planned by the organizers within the maximum time allowed. The GPS track can be used as proof in case of any doubts.
At Transpyr Backroads, avoiding any mechanical setbacks is paramount. Participants can pre-book a mechanic for a tune-up at the end of each stage.
During the stages, we are unable to assist participants, and the organizers will not make any assistance available.
The organizers guarantee the availability of bicycle cleaning stations at the end of each stage, either with hoses or high-pressure machines, as well as a small self-service workshop.
Your friends and family will be able to attend the different events: departure and arrival, briefing, pasta party… For this purpose, we have created the Companion Pack.
This is a pack designed so they can come and cheer you on and share the TRANSPYR BACKROADS adventure, enjoying themselves to the fullest. This package includes accreditation as a companion, a tourist dossier so they can discover the wonders of the Pyrenees, tickets to the Pasta Party, parking in a reserved area (at some stage points), and other accessories.
If your companions are only coming for one day, you have the option of purchasing a ticket to the Pasta Party.
The Companion Pack can be purchased through your private area or at the organization’s office (RACE OFFICE).
