Todo lo que debes saber

Thanks to the E-Bike, you can take on the Transpyr Coast to Coast, one of the most demanding cycling challenges. Although the E-Bike makes it easier, it’s important to train regularly and have good bike handling skills.

E-Bikes participate in the Deporvillage Transpyr Gran Raid MTB, which consists of 7 stages covering about 750 km and nearly 18,000 m of elevation gain, averaging 105 km per day and around 2,500 m of elevation gain.

Some sections are adapted to facilitate the passage of participants in the E-Bike category.

Electric bikes participating in the E-Transpyr C2C must meet the following requirements:

Provide electric assistance only when pedaling. It is not permitted to install mechanisms that allow the motor to function without the cyclist’s pedaling movement.
Maximum assisted speed: 25 km/h. Beyond this speed, the electric assistance must disconnect. The walk-assist button is allowed. It is not permitted to install mechanisms that override the motor disconnection at 25 km/h.
Maximum motor power: 250W.
Participants in the E-Transpyr C2C may be required to undergo technical inspections before the start and upon arrival. Surprise checks may also be carried out during the route.

  • Route track.
  • Roadbook with maps and stage profiles.

  • Medical assistance and rescue during the stage.
  • Mandatory insurance.
  • Self-service bike wash station at the end of each stage.
  • Transpyr bag for transporting personal luggage (maximum load of 20 kg).

Booking accommodation is the participant’s responsibility, but we make it easy for you.

You can book it on your own at each stage location, travel by motorhome, or book the HOTEL PACK offered by VALUA TRAVEL with different options.

Accommodation is not included in the registration.

The organization will give you a bag during registration so you can pack all your belongings.

This Transpyr Bag will be transferred daily to your accommodation (as long as it is within the urban area of the stage location).

If you prefer, we can send the bag to your home before registration so you can organize yourself better!

The bag must not weigh more than 20 kg.

Breakfast is the participant’s responsibility, although it is included in the hotel packs.

During the route, the organization provides solid and liquid refreshments. One of the refreshment points serves lunch, typically rice or pasta. At the end of the route, there is another light refreshment station.

The registration also includes a carbohydrate-based meal in the evening, before each stage.

It is recommended to bring some type of energy supplement and to start each stage with at least one liter of drink.

If you want to return home from Irun:

After the Transpyr Coast to Coast event, there is a SHUTTLE BUS available to take you back (departing the morning after the arrival in Irun).

If you are transporting your bike in a bike box, we can store it safely for you.

No. The Mandatory Sports Insurance is included in the participant pack. However, each participant is free to purchase and use additional complementary insurance if they wish.

A medical assistance service is available along the route. Its mission is to assist injured or hurt participants DURING THE COURSE OF EACH STAGE. Once the stage is completed, any participant requiring medical attention must seek care from public or private medical services in the municipality.

There are some moderately technical sections, and even difficult ones, but they are in the minority. These are moments when you can get off your bike and then get back on shortly after. Overall, the Deporvillage E-Transpyr has a high rideability index.

No, the accreditation and briefing take place in the evening on the day before the start.

Participation is restricted to those over 18 years of age.

A cycling license is not required.

The mandatory insurance is already included in the participant pack. If deemed necessary, you can purchase additional insurance on your own to expand coverage.

Once your belongings are transferred to the Transpyr Bag that we will give you during registration, you can:

  • Leave your suitcase with family members if they have accompanied you.
  • Leave it in your car if you came by car.
  • Leave it with us, and we will transport it to the end of the event. In this last case, the suitcase will remain at the starting or finishing point until the last day of the event, when we will transport it to Roses so that you have it on the day of arrival.

If, for any reason, you need to leave the event halfway through, you will have to retrieve your suitcase yourself from wherever it is.

The transportation of the bike case to the Transpyr Coast to Coast destination is an optional service that can be contracted.

You can also arrange to have the Transpyr Bag sent to

A participant will be considered a “Finisher” of the Deporvillage Transpyr Gran Raid MTB if they have completed the route planned by the organization within the maximum time limits set for each stage. The GPS track may serve as proof in case of any doubts.

Following a route via GPS is quite simple. However, you must ensure that the chosen device is suitable for MTB use (it can be mounted on the handlebars and easily viewed), has enough memory to record a route of over 100 km with logs every 50 meters, and has a battery life of more than 12 hours (and bring spare batteries or replacement power sources).

In the DEPORVILLAGE E-TRANSPYR, it is essential to avoid any mechanical issues. Participants can book in advance a mechanical service for tune-ups at the end of each stage.

During the stages, it is not possible for us to assist participants, and the organization will not provide any services in this regard.

The organization guarantees the availability of bike cleaning stations at the end of each stage, either with hoses or pressure washers, as well as a small self-service workshop area.

Of course!

Your friends and family can attend the different events: the start and finish, briefing, pasta party… For this purpose, we have created the Companion Pack.

This pack is designed so that they can come and cheer you on and share the DEPORVILLAGE E-TRANSPYR adventure to the fullest. The pack includes companion accreditation, a tourist dossier to help them discover the wonders of the Pyrenees, tickets for the Pasta Party, parking in reserved areas (at some stage points), and other accessories.

If your companions are only coming for one day, you have the option to buy a ticket for the pasta party.

The Companion Pack can be purchased through your private area or at the race office (RACE OFFICE).

DEPORVILLAGE TRANSPYR GRAN RAID MTB takes place in June to ensure the maximum daylight and favorable weather conditions. However, participants should consider the weather differences between the Cantabrian and Mediterranean sides and the altitude reached at certain points of the route (with a maximum of around 2000 meters), as rapid weather changes are possible in mountainous environments.
