Without technical difficulty setting aside a couple or three of places, the stage’s greatest adversity can be the unfavourable gradient as we start at sea level and finish at almost 1000 meters of altitude giving the feeling that we spent all the way up, and having to bear indices of humidity and temperatures often very high throughout most of the ride. Moving most of the time from 1000 metres to almost 2000 metres above sea level, this is a real mountain stage that gives character to TRANSPYR BIG RAID MTB. To start, just after leaving Camprodon, you will face an iconic mountain pass, which is after a long and demanding climb, followed by its no less complicated steep descent. After a descent to the bottom of the valley, quickly linked with the second major ascent of day, culminating at 1800 meters. The route of this second ascent combines dirt and asphalt roads, including the use of a small road, in such a way that maintain a reasonable average speed and do not completely finish the forces, because although above Most of the stage’s slope has been overcome, there is still a long way to go before the finish line. From this second pass, you can enjoy what is considered to be one of the best TRANSPYR GREAT RAID MTB descents. Not very technical and mostly fluid, you will get down to a wide valley, then following a long transition to the west mostly in profile descent, which combines wide slopes, some nice little trails and even paths that Gradually they will come closer to La Seu d’Urgell, the host city of the end of the second stage.

Probably, next to stage 4, this is the queen stage of TRANSPYR GRAN RAID MTB Despite the large amount of drop and a long distance, this is a beautiful stage in which we progress following forest tracks and small trails through unknown areas of the Pyrenees mountain range and, as usual, using some small paved roads to make a minimum average speed feasible. After a transition sector on quiet roads of asphalt, it is time to face a long climb, first on asphalt and then following forest tracks, Rewarded for an exceptional view once reached the summit at 1,900 meters altitude. The beginning of the following descent is potentially dangerous as it is very fast, steep steep and partly rocky with some cracks crossing the road.Once you reach an abandoned village on a beautiful hill, continue the descent by a good combination of forest tracks and wonderful trails. This is one of the most the longest of all stages, if not the longest, and requires a good combination with the same dose of concentration, physical endurance and driving skills. We left the valley by combining road and paths, until you pass by a bucolic natural lake, and from where it continues a small but pleasant descent to the next valley bottom. To complete this third stage, it will still be necessary to overcome a third ascent that culminates shortly over 1300 metres and which, although it is not technically difficult, at that point in the stage represents a real challenge for the accumulated fatigue. In the last part of the itinerary, you will be taken down the road to the destination The Pont de Suert.

Possibly the most stage mountain bike of all TRANSPYR GRAND RAID MTB. A compilation of landscape, effort and final prize with the long descent to Aínsa. There are long and winding climbs, beautiful beauty everywhere, and enough trails to compensate for the suffering of demanding climbs. The crossing enters the Aragon Pyrenees just after the start of the stage, following the course of a valley ravine for the first ten kilometres, on a mixed surface of asphalt and dirt. Just after arriving at the plains, you have to enter and roll down a beautiful and quiet road that will allow you to recover a little. Then it’s time to tackle the second climb of the day.Surrounding the peculiar form of the adjacent mountain, this is a quiet area of great beauty, with a natural environment close bucolic and the high peaks of the Pyrenees as a backdrop. It follows a descent by a a medium technical road where the most skilled will manage to stay on the bike in the . It is a short sector and soon you reach a mountain hut in the middle of a small meadow, from which you enter a wide forest track that, continuing down into the valley, you will lead to an important village next to the national road, where you can rest and recover The strength to face the last part of the long and demanding journey. This last section of the stage consists of a long climb to a beautiful and lonely hill, the first half gaining height following a small local road through small villages with sources, and the second part by dirt tracks and roads, very steep in some sections, with loose stone and probably dry and dusty. It really is a hard climb, but still the The landscape prize you will receive when you reach the top is well worth the effort. After a few more kilometers of ascent, finally we reach the last hill, where you will have the opportunity to discover the famous mountain biking destination AINSA ZONA ZERO, with a very long descent formed by a combination of trails and roads that lead almost to the very same population of end of stage, Ainsa.

After these first eight kilometres, a dirt track crosses the other side of the a spectacular suspension bridge to cross a village that was abandoned and now in recovery phase, and continues between fields and small roads, which gain little height until Get to about thirty kilometers. From this point begins the only long and demanding climb of the stage, which takes you to the top of a rock with wide plains and spectacular views all around, most of the time following Forest tracks that combine sections within the forest with open spaces. The longest stage of TRANSPYR GREAT RAID MTB, but it is not the one that has the unevenness The first part of the project is as simple as possible. Leaving Jaca, the route heads northwest to avoid the Pyrenees mountains in the first part, accumulating miles on undulating terrain to increase the average speed without too much effort. At about the middle of the stage, the track turns north and soon the profile changes and is is becoming more challenging, having to cross some mountain pass to jump from valley, and follow roads and paths always in ascending profile and already towards the west, until entering the slope of the Pyrenees of Navarre, where you can clearly see the evolution towards a cooler landscape and climate and often moist. From this point on, the last part of the stage is tried to be as rolling as possible, combining roads, paved roads and fast gravel roads that go up and down small heights, until Finally, Burguete is reached. As the stage progresses you will experience the transition of the natural and cultural landscape that we surrounds, from the rough Pyrenees of Aragon to the more atlantic court of Navarre. In general, the technical difficulty is low since the distance and the difference in level to be overcome are already Alone enough challenge, finding ourselves already in the final part of the TRANSPYR GREAT crossing RAID MTB.

An emotional last stage of TRANSPYR BIG RAID MTB MTB, having everyone in mind the view of the Atlantic Ocean. With almost a thousand meters more of descent than of ascent, this stage is a kind of tribute to cycling mountain as the stage has a bit of all the ingredients that make you passionate about this sport: hard, steep slopes, large demanding descents, rocky and covered terrain grass, amazing views, closed forests and some trails… The scenery is just fantastic and from the middle of the stage, if we are lucky with meteorology, we could see the Atlantic Ocean. However, once again, this is not an easy stage: although technically it is not complicated, it goes through ninety kilometers and adds almost two thousand meters of positive elevation, and before reaching the shore of the sea you will still have to face the typical very steep slopes of the Basque orography, and continuously climbing up and down small hills. It is important to save some energy to concentrate on arrival, so that you can safely cross the final urban area with more traffic congested. The stage begins with a beautiful short ascent in open spaces, the path progresses between meadows and small rivers. Then, a steep descent is made, spectacular and, which leads you to the French side, crossing two small villages. Then follows the probably steepest ascent of TRANSPYR BIG RAID MTB, fortunately short and especially on asphalt surface, to continue descending towards the great and wide valley. The scattered villages of stone houses and green landscapes accompany us at all times and, after cross a national road, it’s time to tackle the last and long climb of TRANSPYR GRAN RAID MTB. For the last 25 kilometres before reaching the sea, a very The Bidasoa valley, from where, following almost all the time the course of this important river by a green way, will reach our final destination of Irun, enjoying of the emotional and unrepeatable moment of reaching the other end of the Pyrenees.
