MORE INFORMATION

Bike in perfect condition. We recommend tubeless wheels with enough anti-puncture fluid and mixed drawing, strong tires for all weather conditions. It’s possible to use a hardtail although it’s not the most recommended for the terrain we road.

Tires: We recommend 28 or 30mm wide wheels as the route runs along secondary roads.

Gearing: We recommend a minimum gear ratio of 28-30 on the largest sprocket, for climbing gradients of +12% on some short sections.

We recommend having at least one extra battery and/or extender to be able to carry out each stage without unforeseen events. So that you only have to worry about pedalling, we manage the charging and transfer of batteries thanks to the E-TYR service (see conditions here).

  • 3-4 shorts
  • 3-4 short-sleeved jerseys
  • 3-4 pairs of socks
  • Thermal shirt
  • Waterproof jacket
  • Sleeveless gloves
  • Comfortable clothing for after the stages, including a down jacket.

In the Pyrenees during June, temperatures can range from 5 degrees Celsius at night to 40 degrees Celsius during the day, with significant temperature fluctuations. We recommend bringing clothing that can complement and adapt to all daily situations.

Service included with the registration, consists of a bag that is received during the accreditations and that the participant gives at each departure to receive it after crossing the finish line.

Recommended material for after stages (to be inserted in the target bag):

  • Some clean clothes
  • Warm clothing
  • Flip-flops/comfortable shoes
  • Cash
  • Padlock to tie your bike

Breakfast

The organization does not provide breakfast, so it’s the participant’s responsibility. In the case of booking accommodation with Valua Travel, whether standard or premium, yes, the hotel rental service is included.

Food stations

Depending on the modality, you will find a minimum of 2 food stations along the route. Once you cross the finish line, we’ll be waiting for you with a final refreshment to regain your strength.

In this list you can find an example of foods present:

  • Fresh fruit
  • Dried fruit
  • Cookies
  • Sweets
  • Sweet/savoury snacks (depending on the day)
  • Pasta/rice/couscous in the catering where the “meal” is given at each stage
  • Water
  • Isotonic
  • Gels and bars

Pasta Party

Every afternoon, the organization offers participants a “pasta party” dinner in which you will find a balanced menu based on carbohydrates, protein, vegetables and fruit. During the dinner there is a briefing, where we offer key information and recommendations for the development of the next stage.

You can visit the Spanish Tourism website:

> Access

All participants are insured by their own insurance, which covers accidents DURING the stage. However, for foreign participants, we recommend having travel insurance that covers Spain.

A couple of months before the event, we make available to participants all information related to insurance coverage as well as the procedure to follow in case of an accident.
